Share Paper: Designing a blended computational thinking in mathematics education course for K-6 preservice teachers

Abstract: In the context of computational thinking receiving increased focus in education, this paper has four purposes: 1) review the literature on computational thinking; 2) explore connections between computational thinking and mathematics education; 3) describe a new blended course on computational thinking in mathematics education for K-6 preservice teachers; and 4) outline the method for researching the preservice teachers' experience and learning in this course.
