Abstract: This paper is on the role of cultural beliefs in the pedagogical design and pedagogical usability of web-based learning environments. It will build on previous studies on cross-cultural issues on human computer interaction that focus on teachers’ cultural issues, such as, writing and reading, as guidelines for technical interface designs.
