Abstract: This research project sought to introduce Internet-based technology into the early childhood classroom for use by in-service teachers/graduate students. The science methods course in which the project was designed used a hybrid model for students enrolled in the MS Ed in Early Childhood degree program at the University of Maine at Farmington. The research project involved two separate assignments designed to focus on different aspects of Internet-based technology use for in-service teachers enrolled int he graduate program. The first assignment required graduate students to introduce new technological tools with young children in the classroom. The second assignment required populating a science resource site for early childhood professionals. This session details the design and delivery of the course projects and reports on its findings, including technology use, support and administration, and learning outcomes.
