Share Paper: The Knowlegde Base ICT and teacher education

Abstract: In 2009 the Dutch Knowledge Base ICT for pre-service teachers was published. In 2013 the management of the educational department of the Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands wanted to know to what extent the Knowledge Base ICT had been implemented after four years and, if necessary, how the strategy could be refined. This paper focuses on how teacher trainers and students assess themselves and their opinion on practice and policy regarding the ICT-competencies. Suggestion are made how to improve the ICT-competencies of teacher trainers and pre-service teachers.
