Share Paper: PowerUp Research Projects for Struggling Students

Abstract: This presentation will demonstrate how a combination of evidence-based practices and instructional and assistive technology tools can help struggling students, and those with disabilities, to do the following: (1) pose a motivating research question and take notes, (2) create an informational summary, and (3) share what they have learned through digital stories. The session will include showing and discussing selected technology tools. Next steps will describe additional professional development opportunities available at two free websites: PowerUp WHAT WORKS (www.powerupwhatworks.org) and the Center on Technology and Disability (www.ctdinstitute.org).
