Abstract: In conjunction with faculty-issued iPads and news that next year’s incoming class would receive university iPads as well, Maryville University faculty contracts were extended by two weeks for additional professional development. Tasked with programming and facilitating these weeks, Maryville’s Center for Teaching and Learning needed to provide the short-term, technology-focused training anticipated by administration while also preserving autonomy and an emphasis on innovative teaching that faculty members pride themselves on.
