Abstract: This brief paper presentation focuses on the current uses of open courseware multimedia tools as a means of sharing life skills content with individuals with intellectual disabilities. This particular project concentrates primarily on young adults; however, the session will also explore the use of these tools for K-12 learning environments. Discussions of the project specifics, the tools employed, the design process and the organizational considerations will be covered in some detail. Finally, this paper will identified unanswered research questions as we consider these online tools as untapped resources for exceptional learning.
