Abstract: Online and blended education in the K-12 environment has grown considerably throughout the past two decades. This surge in digital learning has called for an additional set of pedagogical and practical applications for educators in these new learning environments, yet educators often struggle with knowing their level of expertise and recognizing relevant areas for effective PD experiences. The Online/Blended Practice Profile, both research based and validated self-assessment tools, can be used to help these educators understand their strengths on the online/blended learning continuum in six domains and identify where to focus their professional learning experiences for continuous growth. Administrators can also gather the de-identified bulk data to to measure the strengths of the faculty, compare the data to similar schools/districts around the globe, and provide a much clearer path for focusing professional development dollars resulting in increased student achievement.
