Abstract: There is a lack of research on how frequently faculty use smartphones for personal communications and how this behavior is perceived by college students. This study investigates college students’ perceptions of the frequency of smartphone use by college faculty and their opinions of faculty who use smartphones in the classroom for non-class related purposes.
