Abstract: Technology has the potential to promote equity and equality for women. However, there is still a gap between the genders. This research examines the relationship of gender equity to; faculty compensation, career advancement, and access to leadership roles in colleges of business in Finland, Jamaica and the United States. This quantitative study is anchored by feminist, human capital and socialization theories. These theories also support the conceptual framework that has emerged. Women continue to lag behind in compensation, political empowerment, economic participation and access to opportunities to succeed at the highest levels when compared to males. The findings from this research will provide generalizable results that can help to develop policies, strategies and techniques that help to improve opportunities, educational equality as well as reduce incidences of gender inequity and inequality that persist in institutions of higher education, specifically in colleges of business.
