Abstract: This paper presents preliminary findings of integrating professional development for English as an Additional Language (EAL) instructors through Participatory Action Research (PAR) in a mobile vocabulary strategy initiative. PAR is a research method that conducts a research study with participants living in and providing insight into the actions being studied (Bergold & Thomas, 2012).
