Abstract: Students of all ability level, skill set, and learning modality need support in comprehension through interactive instruction. Comprehension is best measured by formative assessments with an immediate performance or a frequent assessment during the learning process. A teacher’s role is to listen and observe throughout instruction, and using student responses has the potential to facilitate instant information to the level of comprehension. Free apps on various technology allows for group or individual assessment that enables the teacher to monitor understanding and adjust the instruction to best support the learning.
