Abstract: This article describes the construction and implementation of a two-semester practicum for teachers enrolled in a certificate program for K-12 online teaching. This program was developed based on the principles of connectivist theory. Through blogging and microblogging, certificate program participants were able to develop a virtual learning community that provided them support through their course design practicum and field experience, allowed for constructive reflection and afforded teachers the opportunity for feedback from multiple perspectives on their online teaching methods.
