I am interested in the issue of microcedentials and to what extent they carry acceptance of value 1) in eucation, and 2) in business. If the answer is not much at this time, how can we help this recognition to move forward?

I’m in the session on microcredentials right now, but just thought I’d use the tech interface to submit a Q. You can respond to it in the session, thanks.

If you have additional thoughts on this issue, I’d love to hear them. We are considering integrating MC in our business leadership partnership that trains business leaders. We hope to do this in 2018. Thanks!

IBM does quite a lot with their PD and MCs. You may want to check out their site. They have also partnered with Northeastern to set up some credit earning process for those that complete their badges. Here is an article that discusses what they're doing: https://news.northeastern.edu/2017/09/25/northeastern-university-and-ibm-partnership-first-to-turn-digital-badges-into-academic-credentials-for-learners-worldwide/

It could be a way to demonstrate the use of badges for PD.
