Abstract: Most college students have access to a wide range of technology and social media platforms However, consensus does not exist regarding the role of social media in enhancing students’ learning experiences This pilot study evaluates social media’s role in the engagement of students in their face-to-face and distance education courses In spring 2016, one distance education early childhood education (ECE) course developed a Facebook page for enrolled student and solicited their feedback at the end of the semester Two additional ECE courses (one face-to-face and one distance education) are also implementing a social media presence Results shared will include (a) ...
