Abstract: Abstract: A critical discussion in learning and development research is about best practices for implementing teaching, as well as facilitating learning among students in the 21st century. Engaging today’s students constitutes a significant challenge for instructors, and the situation is more complex when it comes to online instruction. Strategies for minimizing the social distance between students and instructors through synchronous online meetings are being implemented to create opportunities for positive impact on student engagement and participation.
