Abstract: This paper will present a research project funded by National Sciences Federation (NSF) to design specialized Artificial Intelligence tools for engineering students at the Texas Southern University. The study implemented multi-dimensional assessments – direct assessments to evaluate student learning activities, an indirect assessment to collect student feedback as well as the national Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience survey to find out student learning performance as compared to the national level in STEM field. The collected data have been used strategically to make project expansion, enhance teaching quality and improve student learning.
