Abstract: This study explored technology practices of teacher candidates during field experiences. Participants included 84 teacher education candidates (secondary, elementary, and early childhood majors) enrolled at a rural Midwestern University. Survey questions asked about the frequency of technology use, which tools were used, a positive example of technology use, candidates’ perceived preparation levels, tools candidates said they were most prepared to use, and further training needs. Results revealed half of the teacher candidates regularly used technology in their teaching, and almost 70% stated they were well-prepared to use technology in their teaching.
