Abstract: Research consistently shows that professional development is necessary in improving the quality of teaching and learning. This round table will discuss the Department of Education funded the ASSET Project at Radford University related to providing competency-based online professional development. We will discuss the theoretical basis for the professional development, the processes implemented for creating the online professional development, the lessons learned from the creation process, and preliminary results from the first cohort of teachers completing the Elementary Mathematics stack.
