Abstract: This study explores an online graduate course that teaches educators (teachers, college faculty, or trainers) game-based learning. Grounded in enactivism, this paper focuses on the educators’ game authoring experience through the analysis of their discussion board conversations. Emphasizing on social learning, the following research question guides this study: How and to what extent do educators interact online when designing educational games? Adopting a qualitative, naturalistic research perspective, this case study involved 15 participating educators who were practicing teachers in k-16 classrooms or trainers.
