Abstract: Augmented Reality (AR) continues to advance and remain in the conversation as a genuine option for teaching and learning. Albeit potentially complicated and costly, implementing reusable AR micro activities within a complex lesson could efficiently enhance knowledge construction within the learning process. Referencing the constructivist perspective, learners construct or create representations of new information, which is then linked to a respective learner’s prior knowledge. Inferring constructed mental representations are subjective. This subjective notion of knowledge construction could result in learners incorrectly constructing new information; leading to a lack of understanding. By implementing an AR micro activity, instructors can reference a unified sense of prior knowledge and establish an objective representation of a topic, ensuring learners correctly construct new information.
