Abstract: In this paper, the author will present a case incorporating game-based learning elements into online learning activities. The author will share the design of the projects; instructional tools used in this project, as well as demonstrate the learning activities designed by teacher candidates through gamified online discussions. The learning outcomes from teacher candidates who participated in this project will be shared with attendees. Strategies to facilitate online discussion with gaming elements will also be shared by the presenter who designed, developed and implemented this project.
