Abstract: In the Fall of 2018, the online division in a visual and performing arts school at a large institution on the east coast piloted and subsequently implemented the use of Access Reports and Application Program Interface (API) logs as valuable tools to verify cheating when issues of academic integrity arose. Findings indicate that the use of these tools is a reliable method for verification when other ways of gathering information for cases have been inconclusive. This paper will review how this division uses Access Report and API data as additional methods to assure academic integrity.
