Share Paper: Research on the Factors Affecting the MOOC Learners’ Completion Rate

Abstract: Since the rise of MOOC in 2012, it has been favored by a lot of people for its many advantages such as “free”, “no threshold”, and “famous teacher”. However, the completion rate of MOOC is still low, which has become a major problem. This study used the mixed research method of questionnaire and interview, referring to Kember's distance learning student progress scale, and appropriately modifying its four dimensions to design a questionnaire for this study.
