Share Paper: Integrated STEM Robotics Experiences for Pre-Service Elementary Teachers

Abstract: This best practices report focuses on the design of an integrated STEM robotics experience for pre-service teachers (PSTs) in an elementary teacher education program. Teacher educators in mathematics, science, and instructional technology collaborated to create a learning experience that spanned across courses and content. The design of the activity allows PSTs to experience integrated STEM as both students and teachers. PSTs participate in a STEM robotics learning experience, reflect and unpack connections to elementary content standards, and re-design the robotics activity to connect more deeply to STEM content.
