Abstract: This study aims to improve safety education of nursing students (hereafter referred to as “students”) to prevent medical errors in basic nursing education (hereafter referred to as "nursing education"). To this end, we have developed simulation teaching materials and a learning support system that emphasize experiential trials, and provided a class program where students can continuously and actively engage in learning. The support system visualizes student and teacher awareness, and allows students to reflect on the difference between when they became aware of the risk, and when the model teacher did. Students are expected to improve their awareness of the clinical aspects of nursing by understanding the difference between their awareness and the teacher’s response in the videos. Based on past findings, we discuss the usefulness of the developed system and the class program.
