Biography

Currently a graduate student majoring in Education Technology with emphasis on EFL in Higher Ed. Works as a graduate assistant with the department of Special Education, Foundations and Technology at the GVSU College of Education. International student from Tunisia (N-Africa) and lives in Grand Rapids/U.S for 2 years now. “My passion towards Ed technology dates back to childhood times when I was trying to convince my dad to buy me a computer for video games and internet. I was arguing at that time that a PC can help me do much better in school and it will be not a source of AHDD. It seems that it turns to be more than that later on and my ‘propaganda illusion’ was basically true.” Continuing his challenge to his English teachers and to the whole higher Ed system in Tunisia, Ahmed was majoring in English language, Literature and civilization in his back home university in Sfax. His advocacy of the use of Ed Tech in EFL classes obliged him to give up going to the graduate school there and then boosted his academic career to come to the U.S under the Fullbright US State Department Program. Now he is enjoying life on a GARND Scale, Starbucks coffee, wine and academia along with being the president of the International Students Organization at Grand Valley.
