Biography

Chris currently holds the position of Chief Executive Office at Profectus Education, Consulting and Coaching Services and Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University. Previous educational management roles include: Head of School (Education) at Edith Cowan University, Dean of Teaching and Learning at the Curtin University Business School, Director of Quality and Head of School for Regional Remote and e-Learning at Curtin University. In these roles Chris has been a driver of significant change in teaching and learning including face to face, online and blended learning settings. He has also been a strong advocate for developing a positive staff and student experience.

Chris has received several research awards including the Faculty Research Medal (Edith Cowan University), the Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia award for Excellence in a Thesis and Best Paper awarded by the World Conference on Educational Multimedia, Hypermedia & Telecommunications. His current research includes the exploration of learning communities, blended learning, the use of technology to support learning, quality in higher education and effecting change in school settings.

In addition to academic awards Chris has received several awards from students including excellence in teaching (2004),
