Biography
I began my teaching career in 1999 teaching science at Metter High School. After eight years, I joined the faculty at Georgia Southern University to teach science content and science education for pre-service and in-service teachers. My research interests focus on the culture of science education and on the infusion of technology in the science classroom. I am passionate about ensuring that my students have authentic science experiences that will spark enthusiasm that carries over into their own classroom. After many wonderful years at GSU, I decided to return to the public school classroom. My heart is with the children. That is what led me to education, and that is where I belong. However, I continue to work part-time for GSU College of Education.
