Currently Dr. Maurice Dawson serves as an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at Alabama A&M University in the Huntsville, AL Metro. Dr. Dawson is a graduate of the College of Engineering & Computer Science at Colorado Technical University with a Doctor of Computer Science (DCS) with a concentration in Enterprise Information Systems. Also obtained from this institution is a Master of Science in Management (MSM) in Information Systems Security, Master of Business Administration (MBA) to include multiple graduate certificates.
Dawson is currently serving as the editor-in-chief for the Journal of Information Systems Technology & Planning (JISTP) - ISSN: 1945-5259, advisory board member for the Indian Journal of Commerce and Management Studies (IJCMS) -ISSN: 2229-5674, and a reviewer for the Journal of International Students (JOIS) ISSN: 2162-3104. Dawson has over 20 referred journal publications, over 70 referred proceedings, and over 40 peer reviewed academic conference presentations. Research interests are Cyber Security, Systems Engineering, Homeland Security, Information Assurance (IA), Software Assurance, Diversity & Inclusion, Business Management, Technology Innovation, and Program Management.
