Biography
Nelumdini Samaranayake is a graduate student from the University of North Texas, in the College of Information, Department of Learning Technologies. Presently working as an Instructional Technology Specialist at University of North Texas Health Science Center, Department of Medical Education and Health System Science. Holds a Master's degree in Learning Technologies. Having worked for more than twenty-five years managing information technology work out of which fifteen years for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the Sri Lankan operations, Nelumdini is inspired to research ways in taking the education to the population who do not have access to education through the new technology of instruction. Nelumdini's research interests are instructional design theories and best practices, reinforcing education with technology, and distance learning.
